Description

Varth: Operation Thunderstorm is a vertical scrolling shooter, similar to 1942. A human colony on planet Varth has a big problem with 7th generation supercomputer "Delta-7". This computer has been possessed by the evil entity "DUO". The only hope are two pilots of older planes equipped with 4th generation computers.

The player/players must destroy enemy units (various planes, tanks etc.) while avoiding being hit, and reach the end of the level (a boss fight included). He/they can pick up special items, pairs of "pods" - pods are shields and additional cannons, and can be used in two formations: fixed (on front) or smart (moving with plane's moves). Varth features three different main weapons for the player - a laser, a shotgun, and a multi-directional shot, as well as three additional (pod) weapons: missiles, homing missiles, and napalm. There are also limited bombs.
