Description

Pop 'n Bounce is a cross between Breakout and falling-block games like Puyo Puyo. Players control a paddle knocking a ball around the screen, trying to hit blocks shaped like cute animals and other cuddly critters. Hitting a block destroys it, and if a block no longer has anything underneath it, it will fall until it hits the next block. If it lands next to another block of the same colour, the two will merge together; since a single large block can be taken out in a single hit, landing good combos makes it much easier to clear the board quickly. As levels get more complicated, players can also pick up powerups to change gameplay; like in many other Breakout games, they include effects like making the paddle longer, increasing movement speed, and giving the player a shot to take out blocks directly. In addition to the single-player campaign, a two-player mode lets players take each other on head-to-head.
