Description
Rough Racer is a top-down racing game on a single screen for one or two players, the gameplay is very similar to Super Sprint.
There are four cars competing for first place in each track. Players control the red and blue cars, the white and green cars are computer controlled.
Use nitro's for speed boost, to ram other vehicles and in certain tracks break through walls. Each race also includes a Bandit Racer, which is usually a construction vehicle like an oil truck, cement truck or steam roller. The obstacle vehicle sabotage the race with oil spills, cement spills, bombs and other hazards.
Between rounds the players can buy upgrades for their cars using the coins collected during the race. There are three upgrades, bumpers which acts as a shield for damage, improved high-grip tires for better steering and extra nitro's. The game features 10 different tracks, each with a different theme and obstacles.
